Ernest de Caranza's 1850s photograph of the Fountain of Ahmed III beside Hagia Sophia, reprinted as a deep indigo cyanotype on cream paper with brushed edges.
The original
“Fountaine de la Sophie, Constantinople” by Ernest de Caranza (French, 1837–1863), c. 1854, is in the public domain. The image comes from the Cleveland Museum of Art, which shares it under CC0 (no rights reserved).
The print
Tiraj turns the salted paper photograph into a cyanotype, the iron-based sun print of the same decade: a single deep indigo that holds the deep eaves, the domes and the carved niches, with hand-brushed edges and a long exposure.
The paper tone is part of the artwork; print on white matte paper. The cream sheet and the brush edges are printed into the file.

Printing tips
Use heavyweight white matte paper (200 gsm or more, archival matte or cotton rag). Print at 100% / actual size, not 'fit to page', and pick the file that matches your frame. This is a landscape artwork: all files are horizontal.
Colours can vary slightly between screens and printers.
