Few cities were built with as much care as Amsterdam: canals, narrow gabled houses and church towers, most of them still standing after centuries.
This map is rebuilding it one building at a time. All 68,543 buildings already stand at their real heights, and the landmarks are being redrawn one by one. More than 100 are up, from Westerkerk, the Royal Palace and Centraal Station to the Rijksmuseum, the Concertgebouw and NEMO, with more on the way.
That takes time. Thank you for your patience, and enjoy exploring.
Every one of the 68,543 buildings in the centre at its measured 3D BAG height, with canals, parks, streets and trees from OpenStreetMap. Click any building for its year, height and photo.
The centre and surrounding neighbourhoods (163 tiles) are redrawn as pixel art with AI (Grok Imagine), working from renders of the real 3D data; the rest of the city is pixelised from the 3D model.
